FRONTIER VILLAGE SUMMER DAY CAMP is the only summer day camp of its kind, located just south of beautiful Vallecito lake on 100 acres of private land. Frontier Village is a unique, progressive learning day camp program ideal for any child wishing to experience action-packed days that are unique to western culture. Frontier Village takes your child back to the pioneering days of Vallecito where they will build their own shelters in groups, take exciting field trips, trade wares with Southern Ute Boys & Girls Club and be inspired by over 40 special guests from all over the nation. This day camp is a multi-faceted approach to frontier living involving hands on primitive skills, historical and cultural education, environmental respect, safety and awareness as well as participation in interactive games, craft making, skill building, story-telling and music, complete with a barn dance and True West Rail Fest participation.

august 18th: the children of frontier land have been invited to a special day in durango as guests to true west rail fest. this day includes a private tour of the train yard and the world single action quick draw tournament. the children must attend dressed in their handmade frontier outfits and be prepared for photos with true west magazine. Registration and Enrollment Information
FRONTIER VILLAGE is a unique program designed for only 24 children (ages 7 -16) per week to participate and runs for a total of 5 weeks from July 9th- Aug 10th. We recommend participation in the full length of the camp in order gain a complete understanding of pioneer living and to achieve the unique, progressive learning experience that we are providing for each participant. Special guests from across the nation will be visiting and sharing their knowledge and skills with the children. It is for this reason that no discounts or pro-rating will be given for missed days or weeks that your child has been enrolled for. With all that the children will have the chance to experience, this will truely be a Summer to remember!
We are offering an Early Registration Discount on FULL CAMP REGISTRATIONS ONLY with a deadline for enrollment by April 15th in order to receive the discounted rate. From April 16th - June 30th the camp registration will be set at full price. You must cancel your childs enrollment no later than June 1st in order to receive a refund of your registration fees minus a 25% cancellation fee. Enrollment cancelled between June 1st- June 25th will receive a 50% refund. Cancellations received after June 25th are subject to review in order to determine whether or not a refund will be given at that point. You will be notified by mail of the determination. Refunds will take 7 -14 days to process.

For weekly sessions: Please try to register the Wednesday before the week you are wanting your child to attend.
* Children must be present during week 3 July 23rd-27th or be appropriately dressed in 1800's type western clothing to participate in True West Rail Fest.
